Where did winter go?
Ok, who took winter and when are they gonna bring it back? Rain, mud and grass just aren't what you picture when you say "Happy New Year" on January first.....but, that's what we get! We did get that little blast of winter the other night, but that melted off pretty much the next day, I do have to say however that it was WONDERFUL snowball snow....nice and packy!! I just took a peek at the weather site and they're calling for an inch of something tonight, ice pellets, freezing rain, snow mixture, and then another 2-3 inches of snow or something on Monday. I guess there's still hope in sight for winter after all :)
Oh yeah....Happy New Year by the way!!! Can you believe it's 2006 now?!?!?!?! Where did the years go?????? I got in contact with my best friend from elementary school, it was wonderful catching up with her. We talked about the kids we went to school with together up until 6th grade (I moved from Frederic to Gaylord after 6th grade). It was pretty interesting to find out how some of them turned out. She became a vet, mainly for horses, which doesn't surprise me one bit, she always loved horses. She has 2 boys, David who is 16 and Daniel who is 6. I guess we have a little bit in common there, I mean, Ben is 16 and D is 6....I just happen to have 3 others inbetween!!
WOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, the child_units go back to school the day after tomorrow!!!! **dancing for quiet joy** I think I shall spend my quiet time going over some spanish and math so that I'm not completely way behind when I go back to school on the 9th. I have some spanish cd's to listen to that go along with my workbook so that should work out well. I'll just pop the cd into the dvd player and listen to it while I walk on my treadmill....either that or I put in Phantom of the Opera and walk...either way it's all good! I really do have to study up on my math though. I'm so worried that this next semester is going to be really rough. 85% of the people that took it 2 semesters ago, failed :( They changed the way one of the classes are, but I really can't take the extended class because it's an extra day a week and I really can't do that. I'll just have to study extra hard I guess. I just hope that I can find the help if I need it. Nobody seems to believe the anxiety that I feel towards math. Sure, I got an A, but I worked my butt off for that A, it was the hardest thing for me to do! *sigh* I just pray that I can get through this last math class, get the ONE credit I need and be done with it!
Wouldn't it be cool to become a language teacher? I think that's what Sarah should do. She has such a knack for German, it seems to come really easily to her. I would love to get more into Spanish and teach it, or at least tutor it. I don't know what it is about Spanish, but I love it, probably the same way that Sarah loves her German. Another language I would love to learn would be Italian. It's kinda close to Spanish in the way that the grammar is set up, a lot of similarities in words too...maybe someday. I think I have the "attitude" needed to speak Italian :)
Now that everybody is in bed, I think I shall go and watch a movie now.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, the peace and quiet with NO child_units fighting and arguing and kicking and yelling and well, you get the idea!
Y'all SMILE---it makes them wonder what you've been up to,
Love Ya :)
