The Gift of Giving

Have you ever wondered what your "gift" in life is? My sister-in-law, Lynette, told me that Emily has the gift of giving, she enjoys giving, it makes her happy. Well, I think that's the ONE thing that Em inherited from me. We all know she inherited her looks and talent in sports from her father's side of the family! However, I love to give as much as she does. I LOVE to see people happy and to see them smile, knowing that something that I take for granted is something that they appreciate. I would give something of mine to a total stranger if I knew they needed it, of even if they didn't need it. I paid for a girl's dinner at school last week because she didn't have cash on her, all she had was her debit card and they didn't take them there, they only have a little sign on the cash register saying so. I just hope that someday she'll do the same for someone else. It ended up that that girl, Jamie, is in my nutrition class and now I have a new friend :) I hope that I can be a good influence on all of my kids and they'll try to find "their" gifts. God had the gift of giving, He gave us His Son, now THAT'S the true gift of giving!!

I'm worried now about BethAnne and Sarah...there's a definite case of Menengitis reported at MSU...I hope that they got immunized...especially BethAnne! I wonder if I have to worry about that too???????? Hmmmm, interesting.

Well, Fantasy Football has started!! Woo Hooooo. So far, after the first game, I'm not doing so well, but, it's only been one game for the week, we still have the weekend to go, I'm sure I'll do ok. I have a strong team. Speaking of strong teams....the JV team is kicking butt this year! Last night they won their game 42 - 0. Alex scored 10 points, yayyyyyyyy. I do believe that this is their 2nd shut out game too. Next week is a home game which is good, I like that, don't have to be gone for quite so long and don't have to stay up quite as long helping everyone with their homework!! I can't believe the homework they give the kids and expect it back the next day!!! Alex and I were trying to find absolute locations last night, most of them were fairly easy, but dang, we couldn't find a few of them. Then BOTH Christen and Em had to do timelines...OYE!! Both of them asking me, "When did this happen, how old was I when I did that?" I was wishing I had done better with their baby books so I could have just handed them to them...but alas, I didn't. Em's time-line looked great! She drew a basketball hoop on a post and there was ivy growing up the post...she used the ivy vines as a line for each event on the time-line. She had a flaming basketball heading to the hoop too! Yet another talent she didn't get from me...however, she did get it from my ma and brother too :) so, in essence, she did get it from me in a way eh?

Well hey, I'm gonna keep this post short and sweet...well, short anyhow. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Go Wolverines!!

Y'all be safe and stay healthy,
Love Ya :)

Giving is fun!

I definitely was immunized before I started college last year, so I should be relatively ok.

And, yes, GO MICHIGAN WOLVERINES! GO BLUE!
