Birthdays and All-Stars
Well, what a day...today is Dominic's 6th birthday. It's so hard to believe that he's been around that long already but in the same respect it's hard to think of the time when he wasn't born yet. Does it make me sad and long for the days of cuddling a baby? YOU BET IT DOES!!! I'm really at a place in my life that a baby just wouldn't fit in, but the thought of cuddling a tiny, helpless bundle of wonder....*sigh* (mental note...find someone with a baby and get a dose of cuddling and dirty diapers)....that might do the trick, lol.
Emily got voted in for the All-Star Softball game for their league along with Lindsay Morrison, Jade Nelson, and Brandi Willett. Their team played awesome tonight!! After the first inning, they were down 0-1. Em didn't even get to play until the sixth inning, and then she dominated!!! All together she got 30 strikes and 11 balls, allowing only 1 run in her 3 innings. WOO HOOOOOOO!!!!! Their team won 16 - 4. All in all, there were 6 teams playing together on her team, 4 girls from each team represented. I was definately proud :D
Should I start baking at 10:30 at night when I'm tired?? Definately NOT!! I had some stuff sitting out that needed to get mixed together, well, what I neglected to do was THINK about what I was doing, I added eggs that were sitting there to a mixture that did NOT call for eggs. Hmmmmm, I'm baking it right now, lol, I kinda hope that it'll make a nice pastry crust and I'll just make a cream cheese filling for it tomorrow. Should I really have admitted to my blunder on such a public display....well, I look at it this way, if it turns out good, then I'll have an admitted....oops, there's the timer, brb, I'll let ya know....WELL...I'm back, still not quite sure how that "dough" is turning out. It smells like a pastry, but it kinda has the texture of a custard type thing...interesting. A good lemon sauce over some vanilla icecream sounds like it might go well with it....or even some strawberries. Anywho...if it turns out, I'll have admitted that I made a mistake, but in making a mistake, I hope to show that even something good can come from a mistake....lol...I'm grasping!!! I should just delete this whole paragraph!!
No, I didn't delete it....I'll live, it's all good. I guess I have to get the bull whip out and start herding a few kids to bed. I do believe I'll be following shortly, or at least when I take my blunder out of the oven. What will I be dreaming of tonight? CEDAR POINT of course!!!!!
Oh, one more thing, this falls into the "Don't ya just hate it category".....don't ya just hate it when you're talking to someone on the phone and the phone dies??? That is a completely frustrating thing. Ok, time for me to get some sleep, the "creation" is 3 minutes from being done and as soon as it's out of the oven, it's nite nite for me!
