The Flocking of the Blackbird

One true sign of Fall is the flocking of the Blackbirds. I'm not really a fan of Blackbirds, they're quite pesky in the summertime, but even I have to admit that seeing them flock together the way they do in the fall is an awesome sight. They're very loud too when they get in their big groupings. I'm always afraid when they start flying over like that I should run and get an umbrella because I'm sure not all of them can control their bodily functions while in flight, not that they do anyhow. Ewwwww, that would be just nasty if they all decided to ummmm, "let it fly" so to speak while they were all in flight. They could quite possibly white wash the side of a barn if they all synchronized it just right!

Speaking of Fall....it's so nice and cool today. Yeah, I like warm weather, but I really like to dress warm, I love sweaters and long sleeve shirts. Ohhh, and I LOVE my parka!!! Hey, I can't help it that I like warmth, this is a person that sleeps with sheet, 2 comforters, a cotton throw, a fleece throw, and a quilt...oh yeah, and a crocheted lap afghan on my feet. Did I mention that I have a "heated" waterbed too? Having it cooler outside makes it more enjoyable to bake too. Speaking of baking, I have a lot of banana bread to make too :)

Alex has a game tonight, I hope that he does well again. He had to get new cleats. I'm not exactly sure how someone can wear out a pair of cleats so quickly. I'm guessing that they were from last year? Of course, it's no worse than Emily wearing out a pair of shoes in just 2 weeks playing softball!!!

I guess I'm done for today, I just don't really have much to talk about.
