I miss her already :(

So yes, Emily has gone to her basketball tournament for the week down in Ohio, I miss her already! *sigh*

Today is almost a perfect day, it's 75 degrees with a slight breeze. It's a little bit cloudy out though but I'm sure I'll get over it....yup, see, I'm over it already! I just hope it doesn't rain later because I really do want to go out and get Whitney saddled up.

I think it's going to be a fruity day, Christen is going to try to finish cleaning strawberries and I have a few quarts of cherries to do! I do believe that all of the fore said fruit will become jam! Heh, I guess I'll be jammin' later on...(yes, I know, that was lame!)

I want pizza.

I'm tired of hearing video games.

"Hi, my name is Lyne and I'm addicted to a CARTOON!" yes, it's true, I've tried so hard to stay away from it, but as soon as it's on, I'm hooked! This past week was a marathon of "The Avatar" all episodes, all week long. This week long marathon culminated in a 2 hour movie (so to speak), we were all excited about the movie on Saturday night...well, OK, Tom wasn't so excited. The movie was very good, I was happy. We actually watched it again last night with Alex, who missed it the night before. This cartoon is as bad as a soap opera! I LOVE IT!

I suppose that the berries need my attention more than the computer does, therefore, I'll be saying adios for now.

Y'all enjoy the finer things of summer,
Love Ya :)

Está muy caliente

Hmmmm, is it the smartest thing to bake when it's 86 degrees outside? Well, I guess that depends on who you ask....anybody that may be on the receiving end of the baking may say, "YUP" to it being the smartest thing....me, on the other hand....NO. At the very least, it smells very chocolaty in my HOT house :) Oh yeah, I'm making Outrageous Brownies.

The two youngest child_units had piano lessons today. It's harder to remember to go to lessons in the summertime because with everybody's schedules, the lessons get shuffled around and aren't on the same day or time every week. As long as I remember, I don't mind the switch, in fact, it keeps me on my toes! Well, during their lessons I usually go out to be with Whitney, her leg, by the way, is looking fantastic. She is so beautiful, I'm very happy that she's mine!!! I wanted to ride her this evening, I got her prepped to ride too, but then the sky started to get dark and there were storms lurking to the north of us. I should have still gone out to ride, but I didn't want to take any chances of getting stuck out in a storm on her. I'm gonna try to go out tomorrow, I'll just have to keep my eye on the radar.

Emily's softball team won the Senior Girl's Softball League Championship!!! It was an amazing game...there's 7 innings in the semi-final and final games...the outcome of the game came down to the final out in the bottom of the 7th inning. Em got on base and had stolen her way to third...another girl was up to bat and had 2 strikes on her...she struck out but the ball went back in the dirt so she stole first and in the mean time, Em stole home to win the game!!! WHEW! So yes, softball season is over.....now basketball season is taking over again! Actually, football season is in the very near future too, Alex has gone to his quarterback camp and is preparing for all the scrimmages and the season opener. And it all starts again.

Ben is getting excited about going back to college :( I, however, am not. *sniffle* Emily, however more...is dancing and waiting for the day she gets a room to herself again :p Alex and Ben were trying to plan out a way to give Dominic the room and Ben would move in with Alex, I interceded and broke up their little plan, which left Dominic crying because he REALLY thought he was going to have a room to himself. I'm sure I'm over it already.

Summer vacation is half over and we've only had one bonfire. Sad.

Emily's birthday is in just a few weeks...guess what we're going to get her!?!?! HA, not gonna tell ya! (mostly because Em will be reading this!)

I'm really disgusted with a product that I bought recently. We love seasoned pretzels, so I decided to make a batch...I got the popcorn oil and all the other ingredients and preceded to make them...after I got all the seasonings and oil mixed I noticed that the smell of them just wasn't quite right, I finished making them and was still not impressed. I picked up the bottle of O.R. popcorn oil and smelled it (the inside of course) and it was clearly lacking ANY sort of buttery aroma. I had to throw out the whole batch because they were NASTY! I bought a big packing envelope and I plan to send a letter to the company along with the bottle so that they know they screwed up and their batch of oil stinks! Jon smelled it and thought it smelled like something familiar, he sniffed and sniffed and finally came up with spagetti-o's. I smelled it again and O.M.G....HE'S RIGHT!!!! I hope the company will reimburse me for all the products that I bought for the pretzels, it costs around $14-15 a batch.

I guess I should go and finish up the brownies.

Y'all go out and swing for a while,
Love Ya :)
